Ibiza villa holidays

Ibiza – glorious sunshine, golden sandy beaches, world class restaurants, amazing clubs, beautiful scenery and so much more. There’s little that says glamour and style quite like this magical island in the Balearics. What is it about this enchanting island that draws so many year after year. First time visitors in their 70’s and seasoned veterans before their 30th birthdays, perhaps this says it all. Ibiza offers a truly unique choice of things to do, places to stay, restaurants to satisfy any palette, nightlife envied the world over and an abundance opportunities to cleanse the body and soul. For an island of 25 miles long and 15 miles wide, there are many pronounced geographical differences that characterize each area. On top of this a short drive can feel like entering another world. This is part of the unique appeal of Ibiza and why its such an amazing place to go on a villa holiday.

North, Ibiza

The north of Ibiza has a reputation of being the quiet side, the parts still connected to the famed hippie enclaves of the 60’s and 70’s. And this reputation is pretty spot on with some notable exceptions. Searching for peace and quiet for your villa holiday is not a tricky task in the north, and so it shouldn’t be. We have a range of Ibiza villa rentals up in the North with no neighbours as far as the eye can see, so perfect for some privacy. When you’re hungry and fancy some simple, freshly caught fish, barbecued to perfection then head to Utopia. This can be found a short hike round the cliffs of San Miguel bay. Fancy something slightly more up market but without taking out a second mortgage and our favourite is Boat House, situated on beach in Cala San Vicente. The stunning food is matched by the what must be the best looking owners of any restaurant in Europe. Make sure to ask them the story about the restaurant. While you are north side don’t forget to visit the hotel Hscienda Na Xamena. The hotel offers exceptional dining, incredible views, things to entertain the kids and an unrivalled spa experience.

East, Ibiza

The East of Ibiza, an area more lush and green than many other parts is perhaps the most family oriented part of the island. The main hub, Santa Eulalia, is Ibiza’s second largest town and very popular with locals as almost everything is open all year round. The countryside boasts some of the most impressive villas available whilst the town and surrounds have some high end hotels like Aguas de Ibiza and Hotel Me. If you’re in the town, have an appetite but not quite sure what you fancy then ask someone to point you to ‘restaurant street’. Here you’re sure to find exactly what you want in to 200 meter stretch of culinary variety.

South, Ibiza

The Southern part of Ibiza is the most well known. A diverse mix of high end beach clubs, gourmet restaurants, cute villages and some of the most stunning beaches you will find anywhere let alone Europe. Fancy simple, delicious and cheap Italian food then head to Bon Sol in Cala Vadella. If you arrive and feel like something a little more gourmet and the neighbouring restaurant, Cana Sofia, is exceptional. There is also a dive centre here that specializes in trips to the mystic rock Es Vedra. The cliff sides and hills of south Ibiza are dotted with some amazing Ibiza villa rentals, many with direct sunset views. Es Cubells is loved by those who want to park their yacht nearby. Cala Conta, Cala Tarida and Cala Bassa offer a more diverse range of properties to suit all budgets. One more recommendation for you. Spend an evening at Es Boldado, a traditional yet exceptional cliff side restaurant on the road to Cala D’hort, if you can find it!

West, Ibiza

Finally, what about an Ibiza villa holiday on the western side of the island? San Antonio, the much derided heart of the area is now an eclectic mix of bars, restaurants and chic, sought after spots with enviable menu’s an incredible sunsets. Oh those sunsets. Spend an evening at Hostal La Torre, one of the area's newest hotspots owned by the family behind Café Mambo, make sure you book a table for sundown. Our real insiders tip, find time to go to Puertas del Cielo in Santa Agnes, a very small, very local eatery tucked away passed the almond groves surrounding the local village. The cliff top views are breathtaking. While you’re in the area, head to Pikes hotel any time of day or night for some drinks, a swim, famous faces and perhaps a round of karaoke in their infamous bathtub. The food’s not bad either…!
